AT THE CROSSROAD BETWEEN PAST AND FUTURE.
The architecture that has authentic historical elements is already valuable in itself. If this history connects with modern technology, something unexpected always comes out. Currently, the Neighborhood Entry is pretty and in good condition, in particular the brick fence is well preserved. The project proposes to improve the design with minimal means, adding some elements:
1) Cover the fence posts with white lime plaster to create contrast with the white brick. Natural lime plaster protects well from moisture while the plants are watered.
2) To create uniform illumination of the ensemble, it is proposed to install lanterns on these columns, and for decoration – to hang a flowerpot with flowers (which can be artificial for convenience or natural, since the lime plaster is not afraid of water and the dazzling white color does not darken). modern technology, something unexpected always comes out.
3) To create dynamics, the project proposes to decorate a brick wall by adding vertical elements of light wood. Thus, as the observer moves, the fence will constantly change its appearance, creating a constantly new image.
4) It is proposed to cover the lawns along the fence with white marble pebbles (fraction 30-60mm) and use the same pebbles to create a central flower bed with a “sailing ship”. Bushes with flowers are proposed to be planted in the hull of an old wooden boat without a bottom. Add a metal tube to it, on which you can attach a light garland to form the image of a sail. Such an inexpensive but very effective solution will create an accent on the Lakeside Landing ensemble and make it very memorable.
